ACTION COMICS 334, March 1966, was published on January 18, 1966. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of 12¢. Mort Weisinger was the editor, and, according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics, the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Sheldon Moldoff, while the Grand Comic Book Database credits Jim Mooney as the penciller of the center image, while Curt Swan pencilled the surrounding images, with the inker possibly either George Klein or Sheldon Moldoff or both, with a question mark by the names of both inkers.

- (5:25) THE SUPERGIRL FROM KRYPTON (8 pgs.), written by Otto Binder, drawn by Al Plastino and lettered by Joe Letterese. This story was originally published as the third and final story in ACTION COMICS 252, May 1959, released in March 31, 1959. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of a dime, as did the issues the other stories reprinted in this comic book were. We originally covered this story back in Episode 188, for the week of July 20, 2011. This story was covered in Episode 285 Part II, for the week of October 23, 2013.

This story originally appeared as the third and final story in ACTION COMICS 259, December 1959, published on October 29, 1959. We originally covered this story back in Episode 202, for the week of October 26, 2011. It was also reprinted in SUPERGIRL ARCHIVES vol. I, SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERGIRL vol. I, SUPERGIRL: THE SILVER AGE OMNIBUS vol. I and SUPERGIRL: THE SILVER AGE vol. I.

This story was originally published as the second and final story in ACTION COMICS 269, October 1960, released on August 30, 1960. We originally covered this story in Episode 226, for the week of May 16, 2012. This story was also reprinted in, SUPERGIRL ARCHIVES vol. II, SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERGIRL vol. I, SUPERGIRL: THE SILVER AGE OMNIBUS vol. I and SUPERGIRL: THE SILVER AGE.

This story originally appeared as the third and final story in ACTION COMICS 261, February 1960, published on December 31, 1959. We first covered this story in Episode 206, for the week of November 23, 2011. This story was also reprinted in SUPERGIRL ARCHIVES vol. I, SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERGIRL vol. I, SUPERGIRL: THE SILVER AGE OMNIBUS vol. I and SUPERGIRL: THE SILVER AGE vol. I.

- (36:55) SUPERGIRL'S TWO SETS OF PARENTS, a full page article possibly written by E. Nelson Bridwell summarizing the story about Supergirl's Kryptonian parents of Zor-El and Allura, and her adoptive parents of Fred and Edna Danvers. Jim Mooney drew the art of both sets of parents.

- (44:49) SUPERGIRL'S FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE (11 pgs.), written by Jerry Siegel and drawn by Jim Mooney. This story was originally published as the second and final story in ACTION COMICS 271, December 1960, released on October 27, 1960 (exactly a month after my birth). We first covered this story in Episode 230, for the week of June 13, 2012.

- (56:35) THE THREE SUPER-HEROES (11 pgs.), written by Jerry Siegel, drawn by Jim Mooney and lettered by Joe Letterese. This story was originally released as the second and final story in ACTION COMICS 267, August 1960, published on June 30, 1960. We originSally covered this story in Episode 220, for the week of March 28, 2012. This story was also reprintedprinted in B in ADVENTURE COMICS 492, October 1982, LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES ARCHIVE vol. SUPERMAN 183, January 1966, was published on November 18, 1965 It contained 80 pages for the cover price of 25¢. Because this issue contained 80 pages, it also carried the issue number of G-18. Mort Weisinger was the editor, and the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan, inked by George Klein and lettered by Ira Schnapp.

After reading an e-mail and comment from last week's episode, the stories covered were:

- (8:39) CASE OF THE FUNNY PAPER CRIMES (13 pgs.), written by Jerry Siegel. According to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics, the story was pencilled by John Sikela and inked by Ed Dobrotka, while the Grand Comic Book Database Ed Dobrotka was the penciller and John Sikela was the inker. This story was originally published as the first of four stories that appeared in SUPERMAN 19, November/December 1942, released on September 4, 1942. It contained 64 pages for the cover price of a dime. This story was also reprinted in SUPERMAN FROM THE 30'S TO THE 70'S, SUPERMAN ARCHIVE vol. V and SUPERMAN CHRONICLES vol. X..

- (21:37) FAMOUS STORIES OF THE GOLDEN AGE, a list of Golden Age Superman stories that were published during the 1940's, which DC Comics might publish in future 80-page Giants.

- (28:21) CLARK KENT'S COLLEGE DAYS (10 pgs.), written by Jerry Coleman and drawn by Al Plastino. This story originally appeared as the second of three stories published in SUPERMAN 125, November 1958,  released on September 9, 1958. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of 10¢.This story was also reprinted in the GREATEST SUPERMAN STORIES EVER TOLD (which is where I first read this story),  SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF TOMORROW ARCHIVES vol. I and SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERMAN vol. I. We originally covered this story back in Episode 176, for the week of April 27, 2011.

- (37:45) WHEN SUPERMAN LOST HIS POWERS (13 pgs), written by Robert Bernstein, pencilled by Wayne Boring and inked by Stan Kaye. This story was originally published as the first of two stories that appeared in ACTION COMICS 262, March 1960, released on January 28, 1960. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of a dime. This story was also reprinted in SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERMAN vol. II and SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF TOMORROW vol. III. We first covered this story in Episode 208, for the week of December 11, 2011.

- (47:50) A SUPERMAN QUIZ FOR MOM AND DAD, a list of twelve questions about Superman from stories that Mom and Dad may have read when they were young. Answers were printed upside down at the bottom of the page.

- (1:02:59) THE MYSTERIOUS MR. MXYZPTLK (12 pgs.), written by Jerry Siegel, pencilled by Joe Shuster and inked by Ira Yarbrough. This story first appeared as the fourth and final story in SUPERMAN 30, September/October 1944, published around June 30, 1944. It contained 64 pages for the cover price of 10¢. This story was also reprinted in SUPERMAN FROM THE 30'S TO THE 70'S, SUPERMAN FROM THE 30'S TO THE 80'S, THE GREATEST SUPERMAN STORIES EVER TOLD (where I first read this story), SUPERMAN: THE GREATEST STORIES EVER TOLD vol. II and SUPERMAN ARCHIVES vol. VIII. NOTE: When originally published, the Fifth Dimensional Imp's name was spelled Mr. Mxyztplk, but was changed to the then current spelling when reprinted in this issue. His name would be changed to Mxyzptlk in SUPERMAN 131, February 1963, which we covered in Episode 194 for the week of August 31, 2011. (During this episode I mistakenly said we covered this story in Episode 353 Part I for the week of October 19, 2016). After this spelling change Mr. Mxyztplk was considered the 5th Dimensional Imp of the Earth-2 Superman and Mr. Mxyzptlk plagued the Superman of Earth-1.

- (1:20:22) SUPERMAN, CARTOON HERO (12 pgs.), written by Jerry Siegel, layouts by Joe Shuster, finished pencils by Ed Dobrotka and inks by John Sikela. This story was originally published as the fourth and final story in SUPERMAN 19, November/December 1942, released around September 4, 1942. It contained 64 pages for the cover price of a dime. This story was also reprinted in SUPERMAN FROM THE 30;S TO THE 70'S (where I first read this story), SUPERMAN FROM THE 30;S TO THE 80'S, SUPERMAN ARCHIVES vol. V and SUPERMAN CHRONICLES vol. X.

- (1:34:56) THE EYE OF METROPOLIS (13 pgs.), written by Bill Finger, pencilled by Wayne Boring and inked by Stan Kaye. This story first appeared as the first of three stories published in ACTION COMICS 250, March 1959, released on January 29, 1959. 80 PAGE GIANT 15, October 1965, was published on August 12, 1965. As the title indicates, it contained 80 pages for the cover price of 25¢. Jack Schiff was the editor, and the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan and Dick Sprang, and inked by Stan Kaye. This was the final 80 PAGE GIANT of the series. In the future, 80 Page Giants would be individual issues of their respective series.

- (7:16) THE CONTEST OF HEROES (10 pgs.), written by Bill Finger according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics, while the Grand Comic Book Database credits Edmond Hamilton as the writer. The story was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye, and was first published in WORLD'S FINEST COMICS 74, the January/February 1954 issue, released around November 26, 1954. It was also reprinted in WORLD'S FINEST COMICS ARCHIVES vol. I, BATMAN & SUPERMAN IN WORLD'S FINEST COMICS: THE SILVER AGE OMNIBUS and vol. I of the trade paperback. We first covered this story back in Episode 165 for the week of February 9, 2011.

- (20:28) THE THREE SUPER-MUSKETEERS (12 pgs.), written by Edmond Hamilton, pencilled by Dick Sprang and inked by Stan Kaye. This story first appeared in WORLD'S FINEST COMICS 82, May/June 1956, originally published around March 22, 1956. - (11:45) LOIS LANE'S SUPER-DAUGHTER (8 pgs.), writer unknown according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics, while the Grand Comic Book Database credits Jerry Siegel as the writer. Kurt Schaffenberger was the artist. This story was originally published as the nine page third and final story in SUPERMAN'S GIRL FRIEND LOIS LANE 20, October 1960, released on August 9, 1960. For the reprint, the final two panels on page six and the first three panels of page seven were cut from the original story. The story was first covered in Episode 312 Part I for the week of January 7, 2015.

This story was originally published as the first of three stories in SUPERMAN'S PAL JIMMY OLSEN 40, October 1959, released on August 13, 1959. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of a dime. The story was also reprinted in SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERMAN FAMILY vol. III. We first covered this story back in Episode 285 Part II for the week of October 23, 2013.

According to Mike's Amazing World Of Comic Books, Craig Flessel was the inker, while the Grand Comic Book Database credits John Forte. This story was originally the third and final one in SUPERMAN'S PAL JIMMY OLSEN 42, January 1960, originally released on November 19, 1959. In the story credits for this issue the inker is given as possibly John Giunta, according to the Grand Comic Book Database. We originally covered this story on Episode 292 Part II for the week of January 29, 2014. It was also reprinted in SUPERMAN: THE AMAZING TRANSFORMATIONS OF JIMMY OLSEN and SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERMAN FAMILY vol. III.
