Thanks for listening to the SUPERMAN FAN PODCAST and, as always, thanks to Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, creators of Superman!
And don't forget to take care of each other out there!
In your commentary of "The Coward of Steel", you wondered why the Superman Revenge Squad did just hit Superman with their Kryptonite ray from space, rather than use the "Cowardice Ray". I think their M.O. was to try, as much as possible to humiliate Superman, not just kill him.
ReplyDeleteYou also wondered why Clark Kent's clothes didn't burn up from friction, as the "non-super" Superman costume did. I seem to recall that Superman treated his Clark Kent clothes with chemicals making them friction-proof, so they wouldn't burn up if he had to use super-speed while dressed as Clark. Those chemicals were the reason his suits were usually blue, his shirts white and his tie red.
