  1. Another wonderful episode! Thank you. I do have one note on your comments from the "Metropolis Mailbag". An editor's note mentions that Jerry Siegel wrote the "Lyla Lerrol novel", and a later editor's reply mentions that Otto Binder wrote the "novel", "Krypton Lives On!" There was a convention in DC comics in those days that full-issue, multi-part stories were called "novels", to distinguish them from the shorter, unconnected stories that usually made up the issues. I think that's what was meant in these editor's notes. Lyla Lerrol appeared in Superman #141, in a 3-part story of "Superman's Return to Krypton!", written by Jerry Siegel, and "Krypton Lives On!" was Part 1 of a 3-part, full-issue story called "Superman's Other Life!", written by Otto Binder. Since you mentioned that you'd like to read these novels, I thought you might have thought they were novels in the conventional sense, rather than comic book stories which you've actually covered already in your earlier podcasts.
