  1. "Superman Red and Superman Blue" is my all-time favorite Imaginary Tale. I am thrilled that you got to this story. It was great to see Superman solve virtually all of Earth's problems and find his own happiness, with a restored Kandor and New Krypton, and a domestic life for each Superman with Lois for one and Lana for the other. Of course, this story, if "real" would have meant the end of Superman comics, because there would be nothing of any importance left for him to do.

At one point, you asked about when Red Kryptonite had split Superman into good and evil parts. The only case I know of was in Action Comics #293, October 1962, in the story "The Feud Between Superman and Clark Kent!" In that story, Red Kryptonite split the Man o' Steel into a good Clark Kent and an evil Superman.

As a native Pennsylvanian, I must point out an error in the Metropolis Mailbag letter column: Williamsport, the home of Little League Baseball and the Little League World Series, is in Pennsylvania, not Virginia.

As always, thanks for a great episode.

  2. I must also point out that, as you mentioned in your commentary, this is the "happily ever after" that Superman deserves, which I still find immensely gratifying, even after all these years. Yeah, a lot of Silver Age stories can be silly, corny and illogical, but they are generally FUN, and comics should be fun.
