- JIMMY OLSEN - ORPHAN (9 pgs.), was written by Jerry Siegel and pencilled by Curt Swan. Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics and the Grand Comic Book Database credit John Forte as the inker, while comicbookdatabase.com credits George Klein. This story was also reprinted in SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERGIRL vol. I. This story was Jerry Siegel's 97th Superman Family story, and his 142nd overall for the era. Previously, Siegel wrote four stories (I mistakenly said five in the recording):
- HOW LUTHOR MET SUPERBOY for ADVENTURE COMICS 271, April 1960, drawn by George Papp.
- THE SUPERSTAR OF HOLLYWOOD for ADVENTURE COMICS 272, May 1960, drawn by Al Plastino.
- THE MILLIONAIRE PUPIL for SUPERBOY 81, June 1960, drawn by Al Plastino.
- THE BOY WHO WAS STRONGER THAN SUPERBOY for ADVENTURE COMICS 273, also June 1960, drawn by George Papp.
- THE IRRESISTIBLE JIMMY OLSEN (9 pgs), written by Robert Bernstein, pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by John Forte.
- ELASTIC LAD'S GREATEST FEATS (8 pgs.), written by Otto Binder, pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by John Forte.
Also highlighted in this episode are this issue's ads and other features, including the JIMMY OLSEN PEN PALS letter column.
Elsewhere in DC Comics 26 titles carried the July or July/August 1960 cover date, according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics.
