Episode #16: Superboy's Pal, Pete Ross!

Download Episode 16!

Pete Ross was a minor character in Superman lore, mostly as a teen in Smallville. But he holds the distinction of being the only one of Clark Kent's friends to discover his secret identity, and keep the secret even from him (at least in the silver age).

Sheldon Moldoff was born on April 14, 1920. Another important date in Superman history this week was April 18, which was the 70th anniversary of the publication of ACTION COMICS #1, in 1938! A great interview and source for this podcast was an interview Roy Thomas did for ALTER EGO magazine at: www.twomorrows.com/alterego/articles/04moldoff.html .

Episode #13: Jim Mooney: 1919 - 2008

Download Episode 13!

Jim Mooney passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2008. He was the main Supergirl artist in the 1960's, during a long career that extended from the early 1940's almost to a few years before his death. I share some of his thoughts on some of the characters he drew and the people he worked with, as well as some links to online articles and interviews with the artist. Then I give a preview of upcoming episodes for the next two weeks.
