Download Episode 135!
This episode begins our tradition, begun last summer, of looking at the imaginary Superman stories over the years. The featured story is SUPERMAN ANNUAL 3, 1991, EXECUTION 2001, which was a tie-in to the 2 issue event series for that year, ARMAGEDDON 2001, written by Archie Goodwin and drawn by Dan Jurgens. Previously, ACTION COMICS ANNUAL 3, 1991 was the featured story for episode 47, SUPERMAN FOR PRESIDENT! We briefly explore the origin of the superhero Waverider.
The featured story of this episode is SUPERMAN ANNUAL 3, EXECUTION 2001, written by Dan Jurgens, pencilled by Dusty Abel, inked by Terry Austin, John Beatty, Dick Giordano and Dennis Janke, colored by Glenn Whitmore and lettered by John Costanza. The assistant editor was Dan Thorsland, and Mike Carlin was the editor. I could find no reprint information about this issue, but you should be able to find it in the back issue bins of your local comic book shop or an internet vendor.
