I was interested in hearing your review of The Law of Superheroes, by James Daily and Ryan Davidson. I'd enjoyed their blog (Law and the Multiverse) for several years. The blog seems to have gone dormant, but I knew they were planning a book.
ReplyDelete"The Infamous Four" was an okay story, mainly for its look at the "super advanced" future rather than Jimmy's handling of the criminals. As a teacher, myself, it was amusing that one of the future students mixed up Abraham Lincoln with FDR. One of my teaching colleagues, a Social Studies teachers, would often regale the faculty room with similar stories, as when, on a test question asking who was the first Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, a student wrote "Josef Stalin".
I especially enjoyed "Olsen's Super-Survival Kit", because I, too, was a big fan of the James Bond movies, and so many of the gadgets in this story were reminiscent of James Bond's gadgets in the movies. Who'd have thought that Professor Potter, with his frequent misfiring inventions, would be Jimmy's "Q"?
Personally, I would have a LOT more confidence in Bond’s Q rather than Jimmy’s!
