Now that the ol' Fortress Of Solitude has been tidied up after Hurricane Irma, we can get back on track with the podcast. The Fortress held up fine with no damage. We only had a lot of yard debris to clean up and were without power for a week.

SUPERMAN'S GIRL FRIEND LOIS LANE 50, July 1964, was published on May 14, 1964. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of 12¢. Mort Weisinger was the editor, and Kurt Schaffenberger drew the cover.

- (10:30) LOIS LANE'S PLOT AGAINST LANA LANG (9 pgs.), which was featured on the cover, was drawn by Kurt Schaffenberger. The writer is unknown.

- (30:42) LOIS LANE'S LUCKIEST DAY (8 pgs.), writer unknown, according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics, while the Grand Comic Book Database credits Leo Dorfman as the writer. Kurt Schaffenberger was the artist.

- (44:16) THE PROPHECY OF THE ORACLE BIRD (8 pgs.), writer unknown, was pencilled by John Forte and inked by George Klein.

The episode begins with the monthly MY PULL LIST segment, where this time I review the comic books released in August 2017, which I received from Discount Comic Book Service.

We will finish up the Superman and Superman Family titles which carried the July 1964 cover date with Part III: ACTION COMICS 314 and Part IV: SUPERMAN'S PAL JIMMY OLSEN 78!

Then we will feature: SUPERMAN COMIC BOOKS COVER DATED AUGUST 1964: PART I: 80 PG. GIANT 1 (starring Superman), PART II: WORLD'S FINEST COMICS 143, PART III: SUPERMAN 171, PART IV: ACTION COMICS 315 & PART V: SUPERMAN'S GIRL FRIEND LOIS LANE 51!
