This was the first issue of the series at the new, higher cover price. The editor was Jack Schiff, and the cover was pencilled by Jim Mooney, according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics and the Comic Book Database.com. The Grand Comic Book Database lists Dick Dillon as the penciller. Sheldon Moldoff was the cover's inker.

- THE CAPTURE OF SUPERMAN (13 pgs.), was written by Jerry Coleman, pencilled by Jim Mooney and inked by Sheldon Moldoff. This story was reprinted in WORLD'S FINEST COMICS 197, October/November 1970, published around August 18, 1970, 64 pgs. for 25¢. It was also reprinted in SHOWCASE PRESENTS: WORLD'S FINEST vol. II.

- THE PLANETEERS' ALIEN ALLIES (7 pgs), starred Tommy Tomorrow, and was written by Jack Miller and drawn by Murphy Anderson.

- Green Arrow and Speedy were featured in the 6 page story, THE BOOBY TRAP BANDITS, written by Bob Haney and drawn by Lee Elias. This story was reprinted in SHOWCASE PRESENTS: GREEN ARROW vol. I.

SUPERMAN'S PAL JIMMY OLSEN 57, December 1961, published around October 5, 1961, contained 32 pages for the cover price of 12¢. This was the first issue of the series at this new higher price. Mort Weisinger was the editor, and the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye, according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics and the Grand Comic Book DatabaseComic Book Database lists John Forte and Curt Swan as the cover artists, without designating which one was the penciller and who was the inker. This cover featured the issue's first story.

- JIMMY OLSEN MARRIES SUPERGIRL (17 pgs., Part I: 8 pgs.), written by Jerry Siegel, pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye, according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics and the Grand Comic Book Database. The Comic Book Database credits George Klein as the inker. This was Jerry Siegel's 65th silver age Superman Family story, and his 110th overall for the era. The two part story was reprinted in ACTION COMICS 351 & 352, June and July 1967 respectively. It was also reprinted in SUPERMAN FAMILY 181, December 1978/January 1979 and DC'S GREATEST IMAGINARY STORIES.

SUPERMAN'S GIRL FRIEND LOIS LANE 29, November 1961, was published on September 21, 1961 (six days before my first birthday). It contained 32 pages for the cover price of a dime. Mort Weisinger was the editor, and the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye. It featured the issue's third and final story.

- LOIS LANE'S SECRET IDENTITY (8 pgs.), writer unknown according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics, while the Grand Comic Book Database and comicbookdatabase.com credit Jerry Siegel. Since there is no agreement in regards to the writer credit, we won't count this story towards Jerry Siegel's silver age story production. The artist was John Forte, and the story was reprinted in SUPERMAN'S GIRL FRIEND LOIS LANE 86, September/October 1968, published on July 11, 1968. It was an 80 Pg. Giant for the cover price of a quarter.

- THE SCHOOL FOR SCOOPS (9 pgs.), writer unknown according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics and comicbookdb.com, while the Grand Comic Book Database credits Robert Bernstein. The story was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye, and was reprinted in SUPERMAN: THE DAILY PLANET.

- THE IRRESISTIBLE LOIS LANE (9 pgs.), writer unknown according to Mike's Amazing World Of DC Comics, while the Grand Comic Book Database and comicbookdb.com credit Robert Bernstein. The story was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye. It was also reprinted in WORLD'S FINEST COMICS 141 (Mort Weisinger's first issue as editor), November 1964, published on March 12, 1964. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of 12 cents. This story was also reprinted in SUPERMAN FAMILY 171, June/July 1975, published on March 11, 1975. It contained 64 pages for the cover price of 50 cents.
