This episode could also be called the Jerry Siegel Show, since he wrote all of the Superman stories, as well as the Supergirl tale. This is the first episode where that has been the case. These were his 8th - 12th silver age comic book stories. All of the Superman stories in this episode have been reprinted in SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERMAN vol. II.

SUPERMAN 135, February 1960, was published on December 17, 1959. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of 10¢. Mort Weisinger was the editor, and the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye.

- WHEN LOIS LANE FIRST SUSPECTED CLARK KENT WAS SUPERMAN (8 pgs.), drawn by Al Plastino. This story carried the subtitle AN UNTOLD TALE OF SUPERMAN, the 7th Superman story to carry that subtitle.

- SUPERMAN'S MERMAID SWEETHEART (10 pgs.), pencilled by Wayne Boring and inked by Stan Kaye.

- THE TRIO OF STEEL (8 pgs.), drawn by Al Plastino.

ACTION COMICS 261, February 1960, was published around December 31, 1959. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of a dime. Mort Weisinger was the editor, and the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye.

- SUPERMAN'S FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE (12 pgs.), was pencilled by Wayne Boring and inked by Stan Kaye.

- Congo Bill made his 13th appearance as Congorilla in CONGORILLA'S LAST STAND (7 pgs.), written by Robert Bernstein and drawn by Howard Sherman.

- Supergirl appeared in her 11th story, SUPERGIRL'S SUPER PETS (8 pgs.), drawn by Jim Mooney. Her story has been reprinted in SUPERGIRL ARCHIVES vol. I and SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERGIRL vol. I.

Elsewhere in DC Comics, 31 titles carried the February or February/March 1960 cover dates.

SUPERMAN'S PAL JIMMY OLSEN 17, December 1956, was published around October 16, 1956. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of a dime. The editor was Mort Weisinger, and the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye. They were the art team for all three 8 page stories, which were all written by Otto Binder. These stories have been reprinted in SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERMAN FAMILY vol. I.

Episode #204: Superman Comic Books Cover Dated January 1960: Sueprman #134 & Action Comics #260!

SUPERMAN 134, January 1960, was published on November 5, 1959. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of 10¢. The editor was Mort Weisinger, and the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye.

THE SUPER OUTLAW OF KRYPTON was called A GREAT 3-PART NOVEL on the cover, since it was a rare issue that had one story taking up the entire issue. This 26 page story was written by Otto Binder, pencilled by Wayne Boring and inked by Stan Kaye. It was reprinted in SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERMAN vol. II.

- Chapter I: THE SUPER-MENACE OF METROPOLIS (9 pgs.)
- Chapter II: THE REVENGE AGAINST JOR-EL (9 pgs.)
- Chapter III: THE DUEL OF THE SUPERMEN (8 pgs.)

ACTION COMICS 260, January 1960, was published on November 25, 1959. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of a dime. The editor was Mort Weisinger, and the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye.

MIGHTY MAID was written by Otto Binder and drawn by Al Plastino. This story was reprinted in SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERMAN vol. II and SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERGIRL vol. II. Supergirl made her 8th appearance in this story.

THE GIRL SUPERBABY, the issue's second story, marked Supergirl's 9th story. This eight page tale was written by Otto Binder and drawn by Al Plastino. It was reprinted in SUPERGIRL ARCHIVES vol. I and SHOWCASE PRESENTS: SUPERGIRL vol. I.

The final six page story featured Congo Bill in his 12th appearance as Congorilla in THE GLADIATOR OF THE JUNGLE, was written by Robert Bernstein and drawn by Howard Sherman.

WORLD'S FINEST COMICS 85, November/December 1956, was published around September 27, 1956. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of a dime. The editor was Jack Schiff, and the cover was pencilled by Dick Sprang and inked by Stan Kaye, who were the art team for the Superman/Batman story in this issue. This story was reprinted in WORLD'S FINEST COMICS ARCHIVE vol. I and SHOWCASE PRESENTS: WORLD'S FINEST vol. I.

- Edmund Hamilton wrote the 12 page Superman/Batman story, titled THE SUPER RIVALS.

- Tomahawk starred in the 6 page second story, THE FRONTIER DESTROYER, drawn by Fred Ray.
